He hit 357 sixes in his IPL career, including the longest six, which comes 119 meters against Rising Pune Supergiants, India quality bowler Ashok Dinda in 2013.

He played for Indian Premier League teams like Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is an attacking left-handed middle-order batsman. He played 132 IPL matches and scored 2750 runs at an average of 24.77 with 13 half-centuries and a strike rate of 129.71with 149 sixes. His highest score is 83. He smashed his longest six as a captain of Kings XI Punjab in IPL in 2009.
